Last night, we went to an outdoor art exhibit of Slow Dancing, a photography project by David Michalek. He filmed dancers at a very high speed so that when the film is played back at normal speed, the dancers appear to be moving in slow motion. In fact sometimes you have to stare at the image to realize they are moving at all. The films are project onto the side of a building, drive-in movie style. They have been exhibit in numerous areas, but only recently were shown in Orange County. The radio station KCRW held a late-night event last night with one of their DJs, Jason Bentley, just outside the Orange County Performing Arts Center. It was a bit cold, but still a couple hundred people showed up. We went and met some new people as well as ran into some old friends.
