Walking With Dinosaurs

Sunday we went to see "Walking With Dinosaurs" at the Honda Center. We had the (not really) cheap seats way up near the top, but the dinosaurs are so big that it doesn't matter. Armilyn and I first learned about this show from the making-of PBS special they keep airing. It looked so cool. Each dinosaur is basically a puppet, with 1 or 2 people inside operating the dinosaur. They did an amazing job of making the dinosaurs look life-like. The only thing that keeps it from looking absolutely real is that each large dinosaur has a rolling "sled" underneath to help keep it stabilized.

We opted not to pay an arm and a leg for souvenirs and instead got Alex a $5 set of mini dinosaurs later at Target. He was totally fine with it!
